Guitar Hero is published by RedOctane in a partnership with Activision games. Future games from RedOctane will include Guitar Hero World Tour, a possible Guitar Hero Metallica release, and Guitar Hero Modern Hits, as they plan to triple the offering of Guitar Hero games by 2010.
Rock Band is another rock music game that is developed by Harmonix Music Systems, published by MTV Games, and distributed by EA Distribution. Rock Band has recently released a sequel titled Rock Band 2, and plans are surely in the works for more Rock Band titles.
